We accept, review, and publish article submissions on a rolling basis.
All articles must propose novel U.S. policy ideas that are not yet part of the political mainstream or that warrant additional scholarship. Articles should be detailed, thoroughly researched, and include numerous references. There is no specific length requirement.
Undergraduate and graduate students at any institution are eligible to submit an article. We only consider articles that have not been published elsewhere.
Please ensure that your manuscript adheres to the following guidelines:
Articles must begin with the names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors, followed by an abstract
Citations must be in-text in the format: (Author Year, Pages). A references list must follow the body of the article.
Figures, if included, are acceptable either inline or at the end of the article.
Policy proposals must adhere to our Statement of Values.
Articles will be comprehensively peer reviewed by faculty in relevant subject areas. This process is double blind, but author identities will be known to journal editors. Read more about our editorial process.
The review process is lengthy and may take several months. All authors will be notified of a publication decision regarding their article even if we are unable to accept it.
